Have u ever wondered if race relations changed over the year? Racial relations has changed in many ways since the 1930s. It changed because in the 1930s no group of people were hit harder than the African Americans. The whites intimidated the African Americans during the 1930s. African Americans were the last people hired and the first to be fired from their jobs it was very hard to find jobs because of the Great depression. Most black people back then were viewed as different. People’s opinion about them were that they were not equal to the whites because of their color. Race relation has changed over the years because people were really at the advent back then, many people views changed, and minorities are now legally equal to white people. There is still some problems with race relation but not as much of a problem back then. Many people still think there is a long way to go until full equality is reached. Even though things have gotten better since 70 years or so, people think that they are bad and are going to get worse in the future. There has been many things that are assumed to be racist like the black lives matter movement. African American boys are being shot by white police many of the African Americans think that that is racist and that the police are doing it because the boys are black. People think that back then is the same as now because back then African Americans were being shot by whites and now they are still doing the same things.
