There have been many events that helped shape our nation's future, one of those events was the New Deal put into act in the 1930’s by Theodore Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The New Deal helped give people that lived during the Great Depression hope that they would see a better tomorrow.

The New Deal was a set of U.S. Government programs put into action to help solve the economic decline that was happening during the Great Depression. The New Deal programs are numerous but some examples are: Emergency Relief programs, Work Progress Administration, Civilian Conservation Corps, and Agricultural programs. While all of the New Deal programs helped reform the economy and help people during the great depression one, one of the most successful programs was the Civil Conservation Corps or the CCC. …show more content…

The jobs that the CCC performed were forest management, flood control, conservation projects, development of national parks, and building structures such as.... In return for their work they were given the benefit of training and education, a paycheck of $30, and honest work. Every CCC company had a camp for the workers to live in while they worked. The camps were like small towns, they had everything from stores to barber shops and had enough to provide for the men living there. The CCC tried to provide the maximum amount of opportunities for people while spending the minimum amount of money needed. The CCC was so effective it helped employ around 3 million men in the span of 9 years. The CCC wasn't only effective in giving jobs to people it also gave hope to people. It gave them the hope of a better future for them and their families. and a better future for their families. The CCC’s hard work still continues to pay off
