Throughout history, many factors have contributed to the shaping of society and the cultural influence of many aspects in life. Looking at the music industry and seeing how the Beatles revolutionized a new sound and changed the way people viewed music. In each part of life, there have been many people that have contributed to the changing of culture, and have not just been men but also women. Born on July 1, 1961 in Norfolk, England, Diana Francis Spencer, was the youngest girl of three daughters. Her parents were John Spencer and his first wife Francis. Compared to her siblings she was considered highly sensitive and she perceived herself as unintelligent. At 16, Princess Diana was forced to leave West Heath due to her failure on the two sets of exams that would have promoted her. Feeling betrayed by her father, considered him lost to his new wife Raine, and still feeling guilty for being born a boy, Diana went to the Institut Alpine Vidamanette, a finishing school in Switzerland. Diana eventually grew bored with the school and begged her parents to let her go back home (Gillin 19-21). Five months later, on July 29, 1981, at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the royal couple got married. During the four months leading up to the big day, Princess Diana had lost fourteen pounds because she felt so stressed. There were 3,500 people invited, 2 million spectators along the procession route, and 750 million people who watch the wedding on television (Gillion 34-40). The first few years as the Royal Couple were tough for Diana. She felt lonely when they moved into their apartment on an upper floor of the Buckingham Palace. Prince Charles was always more devoted to his position then he was to Diana, so she always questioned if he really loved her or not. Princess Diana felt that the only way to help her relationship Prince Charles was to get pregnant. On June 21, 1982, William was born at 9:03 pm (Gillin 55-59). Two years later Diana gave birth to another son, Henry, on September 15. Diana had kept the sex of her second child a secret because Prince Charles had hoped for a girl but she knew she was having a boy.
