One of the greatest presidents that The United States was president Calvin Coolidge. He improved the government in the the United States by influence in both domestic and foreign policies. He fought corruption and worked clean the government system from the practice. As president of the Massachusetts State Senate, he said “If it be to help a powerful corporation better to serve the people, whatever the opposition, do that.” In his moving he speech he sends out a message the touches every single. Whenever help is necessary, there must be someone who can assist who can knowledgeably step up to help. However, nowadays it’s more like give and take more than just give.
Helping is the most powerful way that one can show love and affection for others. Being there for someone who is going through a hard time in his/her life means more than anything for that person. I believe what kept the world still alive is helping one another. For example during the world war I, when European powerful nations are fighting for no reason killing the people who could be their brothers if they weren’t wearing that uniform and holding that gun. When germany was thinking they won the war already, but when the United States join the Allies, everything comes into peace. Woodrow wilson’s plan for peace was achieved by helping the the Allies fight the central powers who influenced the Nation by power, military and economy had to give up their position.

Helping and not helping. If I see someone helping others I say he is nice or she is nice, and probably talk about what he or she had done which leads to a healthy approach towards someone. Assuming the Presidency at the depth of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt helped the American people regain faith in themselves. He brought hope as he promised prompt, vigorous action, and asserted in his Inaugural Address, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Despite an attack of poliomyelitis, which paralyzed his legs in 1921, he was a charismatic optimist whose confidence helped sustain the American people during the strains of economic crisis and world war.

John Calvin Coolidge, soon to be the 30th president of the United States, was born on Independence Day, 1872 in Plymouth Notch, Vermont. His father, who was also named John Calvin Coolidge Sr. was a hard working farmer, storekeeper, and businessman. Coolidge Sr. cared for his son after his wife died of tuberculosis when Calvin was just twelve. Abigail Grace Coolidge, Calvin's younger sister died when she was just fifteen, a few years after their mother had died. After Coolidge graduated Black River Academy, he went on to study law at Amherst College, Massachusetts, then passing his bar exam in 1897, which is an exam students must take before they can become attorneys. When Hoover believed that it should be the duty of the People and charity organizations to raise money to relieve economic struggle and that, “the opening of the doors of the National Treasury is likely to stifle this giving and thus destroy far more resources than the proposed charity from the Federal Government” ( AUTHOR 9). Hoover considered self-government and mutual self-help to be the “American way” (9) and that relying on the government for aid is a “disastrous system” ( AUTHOR 12) to embark upon. Theodore Roosevelt was one of our greatest presidents. He created the FDA and improved the position of the presidency greatly. Before Theodore came to be president, the position of presidency was slow and wasn’t very interesting so he made the executive branch more powerful by starting new reforms and a strong foreign policy. The life of a president is hard. It is full of stress, responsibilities, and a strong dedication the welfare of your country. Theodore had to deal with all of these presidential stresses, taking up much of his time. Do you know, though, that despite being a president, he led a life of excitement and freedom that many other presidents had never before experienced? Theodore, “Teddy” as his first wife Alice called him, Roosevelt was more than just our president, he was a dedicated author who wrote many books; he was also a rancher, and, surprisingly, he was a big time hunter. Throughout his presidency, Coolidge was idealistic. He represented the hardworking nature of Americans and set a moral example of private virtue to counter the onset of moral decay that grew during the 1920’s. The most important aspect of his presidency was his push for less government involvement and to allow businesses to prosper. Coolidge supported agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission that sought to improve government regulation. With his support, these agencies were able to fill their staff with individuals working to expand business rather than policing their transactions. I tend to find a good balance with giving. Not neglecting others needs but also not giving too much. When someone is upset I help them as much as I can without being unrealistic and pretending everything is fine. This will help me in the Child and Youth Care field as I will not be over comforting a child and thus overlooking the problem but instead coming at it in a caring rational
If we open our lives and give service to those less fortunate than ourselves, we allow our hearts to receive immeasurable happiness. When we sacrifice our time to help someone in need, whether it is a great or small need, we become a part of their life and can help alleviate heavy burdens. Making time to help people in need creates opportunities for us to develop new and lasting relationships. Serving our fellowmen allows the best in each of us to shine through and we can become examples to our children.
For instance, it was an extremely sunny day in Ghana, West Africa, and I had gone out to the well to fetch water. It was while carrying the bucket of water on my way back that I noticed my neighbor’s children fighting over the insufficient amount of food that they had to share. My family and I were not rich but from what I saw, I knew that we were better off than other people I knew. I carried the bucket of water inside the house and came back outside to call the two youngest children that were fighting over the last grain of food. I shared my food my food with them and though it was not sufficient for all, feeding the younger ones alone was better than not helping any one of them at all. There was only little that I could possibly do but by sharing, I had helped them in a great way, even if it was just for the time being.
