House of Yes is a quirky movie about a family of quite strange individuals. The story focuses on the Pascal family: Jacqueline, known as Jackie-O, recently released from a mental hospital idolizes the great Jackie Onassis Kennedy. Jackie-O’s twin brother Marty, younger brother Anthony, and their mother Mrs. Pascal. Based during Thanksgiving Day in 1983 (20 years after the assassination of President Kennedy), Jackie-O learns her brother Marty is bringing home ‘a friend’ for the holiday. She is quite overjoyed her brother is coming home, but is curious and disturbed about the friend he is bringing with him. It may integrate medications, groups, family education and individual therapy. In addition to psychotherapy, a patient may also need medication, which may not treat BPD specifically, but can help with some of the underlying issues such as anxiety or depression, impulsiveness, or aggression. In addition, possibly the most extreme form of treatment would be being admitted into a psychiatric hospital. Recovery takes time, and there is not a known cure, an unfortunate statistic is that 8-10% of people diagnosed with BPD commit suicide, around the age of 32. (aapel.org)
