By using the SWOT analysis, it can help us determine their internal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. From there, we are able to see if there are anything that needs to change, fix, and edit anything to be able to make sure our product is will go out smoothly.
Our company, Hershey’s, has many strengths. One of our biggest strength is that we have brand recognition worldwide. We offer our products to many countries and different consumers in different markets. Consumers from everywhere are able to recognize our brand because we have a strong name and brand image. Our strong brand image mainly came from our marketing efforts and commitment to make a better brand. We currently operate in 50 countries with 60 brand names. …show more content…

Our weaknesses are that launching a new product like truffles which has an expensive background and positioning might not be attractive to the everyday consumer. Consumers might not want to buy the launch of our truffles because of the pricing differences from our other chocolate. We are trying to price the chocolate on an affordable scale compared to other chocolate companies that sell truffles. Pricing is not the only issue at hand. Another issue that arose when we talked about weaknesses is that it is hard to target a specific audience since our products are sold worldwide. Hershey is constantly changing and updating their products which creates and gears their new products to the market needs and wants. By gearing our products towards the market’s demand, we are able to expand our network as well as create a stronger bond and customer loyalty with our consumers. We are trying to expand our products to not only the everyday candy but special occasion candy too. That is one of the many reasons why we want to create a new segment of our products just for expensive chocolate that is also affordable. Many consumers today are also very health conscious on what they eat so we’re creating different types of chocolate that can help toward this audience.
