The qualities I think promote healthier, longer-lasting relationships are communication, patience, and trust. These all have a great impact on most relationships, whether it be with a significant other, or family related. I chose these qualities because they changed the bond between my family and I. The order I consider least to greatest of these qualities would be patience, communication, and trust. The experiences I’ve had with using these qualities really changed my life because they brought me close to my family, as well as my friends. Patience is a quality needed to help you keep any kind of relationship. Patience requires self-control, as well as requires you to have the awareness to think about other people and their happiness. Communication is a huge part of our day to day lives. Communication helps us understand how the other person is feeling and what they are thinking. Being open and honest created a foundation of trust, which is crucial to any healthy relationship. Not being able to communicate well with the other person in your relationship can lead to stress, trust issues, and frustration. If you do not address it in a prompt and healthy manner, it can actually end up causing a lost more problems than necessary. Trust should always be mutual in relationships. It’s very important to trust your partner and to be trusted in return by them. When there is mutual trust in your relationship, no amount of problems can ruin it.
