To work for the United Nations and World Health Organization, that is my long-term goal. I am determined to have a career in which I can dedicate my efforts in promoting better quality of health in developing countries through global health policy. By training in global health at the University of Washington, I hope to enrich my experience in public health and acquire essential skills and knowledge that will enable me to work effectively to bring to pass long-term public health policy and strategies that will address important issues in developing countries such as child health and immunization. As a researcher, through the evaluation of over hundreds of scientific articles, I had developed critical thinking skills that will be useful in analyzing various public health issues, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of public health measures and experimental designs. In addition, my responsibility as a researcher has deepened my understanding of nutrition and dietary supplement. For instance, to design complex dietary formulations that support healthy mood and sleep, I became knowledgeable in the mechanisms of how various compounds including vitamins such as pyridoxal-6-phosphate, at their clinical dose, affect the human body. In addition, I have also gained an understanding and awareness of the prevalence of various vitamin deficiencies along with the importance of essential nutrients in supporting good health. My professional experience as a research associate has given me insights and an understanding of the potential role dietary supplements play in public health. Overall, this set of knowledge will enable me to better understand and determine effective solutions for important global health challenges such as malnutrition in developing
