Health Care Personal Statement

At the age of five, I went from residing in a cramped three bedroom apartment holding seven people in a small town in India, to living in an apartment in the United States with just my parents. Upon arriving in the U.S., I was astounded by the numerous resources available to children to encourage learning and exploration. It wasn’t long before I realized that my passion lay within one specific activity: volunteering. This passion later evolved into a personal necessity to help others during my lifetime and, I soon realized that a career in healthcare is the best path to achieve this goal. Due to my early interest in medicine, I gained the opportunity to shadow physicians along with volunteering for several years in various areas of healthcare,

By volunteering at these areas of healthcare, I have developed two valuable skills: responsibility and commitment. After becoming a volunteer, I quickly realized the importance of being a mature and responsible worker when in a healthcare setting. Exposure to situations in which I was in charge of the safety of patients allowed me to appreciate my responsibilities as a volunteer. Volunteering in areas of healthcare also allowed me to become committed to my work as a volunteer which in turn motivated me to put forth my best work and become a phenomenal volunteer. If accepted for this position, I fully intend to put these strengths to use and I believe that they will be a great addition to your already existing team due to my strong commitment to this

I have never before held a position similar to a scribe, therefore I believe it will be a challenging position due to the requirement to learn completely new skills, and this challenge is a portion of the motivation behind my desire to become a scribe. The opportunity to expose myself to new experiences and new tasks allures me due to the challenge these new tasks provide. I realize that the work done by a scribe can be difficult at times. However, I have been known to work most efficiently under challenging situations therefore, I have no doubt that my ability to cope well with the pressures and challenges of being a scribe make me a great candidate for this
