The value identity was presented in a few of the dystopian stories that the class read together. One of the stories that identity played a huge role in was the story of Harrison Bergeron. Harrison Bergeron was just a 14 year old boy who society put down and in jail because of his amazing talents. He was “labeled” as a genius and a extremely athletic kid. The government threw him in jail because of his danger to society and because he was under-handicapped. “In the race of life, Harrison carried three hundred pounds.”(Vonnegut Jr 10).
