Growing up, I was deeply involved in my high school where I learned to be an effective communicator which is something I continue to perfect. Beginning my sophomore year all the way until graduation, I served as an outreach coordinator but also as a publicist. It was during my junior and senior year international project when I worked closely with the Area Director. Working as outreach coordinator, my duties included running all social media accounts for my high school’s interact page and organizing fundraisers to make sure everyone was doing what was asked of them. Growing up, I was that person that many people went to for advice and somehow used that to my advantage. As an outgoing, expressive person, giving my input on topics that people inquired I would use platforms such as snapchat and youtube to answer them. On Snapchat, an app that has gone viral, I would rant about various situations that would occur daily in my life which could range from school, friends, traffic and to about anything else. After receiving lots of positive feedback from my audience, it motivated me to begin a youtube channel. Through my channel, I would continue to do advice videos and answer questions that people had through my social media. Specifically, in one of my favorite videos, incoming college student asked what life is like at community college. Often times, many would go straight to four year universities after high school and this viewer felt isolated and alone about her upcoming community college lifestyle. I was able to reach out to my viewers about this topic and I had an influx of questions regarding community college I was more than happy to answer in a video.
