Stephen A. Smith has a change of opinion regarding the Gred Hardy situation. In the past, he has supported the Dallas Cowboys on signing Greg Hardy, now he wants Hardy out of the NFL. Smith makes it clear that he never supported what Hardy did, but his rationale was since Hardy served his suspension somebody was going to sign him then why not the Dallas Cowboys. Machir believes that Hardy should of never been allowed back into the league in the first place, but only visual evidence should not change decisions made my organizations. Rodger says people are innoncent until proven guilty is a core principle of American Society, but Hardy was provfen guilty, more than we can say about Ray Lewis. Unfortanuantly, the law and the NFL has punished Hardy as much as they can. Sherman then makes a great point, just because a player is eligable to play for an NFL team doesn't mean the NFL team has to sign him. For example, RIce has always been eligible to play for an NFL team, but nobody has given him a real chance. The Cowboys are choosing to employ Hardy, they know what he did was bad, but they are keeping him because he is a good football player. The front office is even prasing him, Jerry Jones called him a "leader" and said he deserves a second chance. The Cowboys have had plenty of chances to do the right thing in this situation: not to sign Hardy in the first place, condemning him when he showed no remorse after his suspension, and the ability to cut him when he got into a fight with a coach. Rodger belives the Cowboys still have the opporutnity to do the right thing and make a statement saying domestic abuse is unacceptable and that is to cut him.
