Grease the hit music sensation of the late 70’s and early 80’s took the Hollywood industry by storm. Not only is Grease a classic, but it was the start of theme of high school musicals. There is an enormous amount differences between Grease One and Grease two, it’s almost heart breaking. The music and theme are completely different it’s difficult to tell that it’s a Grease sequel. In Grease one the music was Catchy and relatable, with every verse there was a connection with some part of my life. The song Summer Days is the perfect song for reminiscing over a crush or dream guy. Thinking of long romantic hours spent together. When I think of Summer Nights I think of a romantic summer fling that could have last together. Another one of my favorite song that I can relate too is You’re the One That I Want. So basically the movie still had the Pinks ladies and the T-birds but all the characters were switched around. The main Pink lady was over being a Pink Lady and was over being with the main T-Bird. So the whole movie she’s looking for what she calls a “Cool Rider”. Then ends up discovering it was the nerd guys she’s been rejecting all year, which also happens to be Sandys cousin from Grease one. Wasn’t really much to the movie other than corny romance movie.
Grease is a beautiful musical, but sometimes two isn’t better than one. For die hard Grease fans is was truly sad to see how much of a disappointment Grease two was. The music in Grease two doesn’t even compare to the music in Grease one, even the theme of the two were completely different. They could at least be somewhat similar so that I could tell it’s a Grease sequel. Grease two was kind of like a reject version of the first Grease. I just strongly feel that Grease two was awful, and Grease one will always be one of the best

With a twenty eight year age gap between the movies Grease and High School Musical, there was bound to be some differences in the way the characters handled their problems. The leading characters being protagonists, Sandra Dee with Danny Zouko and Gabriella Montez with Troy Bolton all being influenced by how their time period saw women. Jeannette kind of found a boy her age that likes her, but he did cause a few issues with her. Like when he felt all up on her and invaded her personal space. Lori, Jeanette and Brian had trouble fitting in because of how they looked so it was really hard to make real friends. Eventually they got used to it but people were cruel to them and they got into a lot of disputes with neighbors and other people. This place made them toughen up and made them realize how they were living needed to change. The whole family came to the conclusion that they need to fight back so people don’t walk all over
Expectations are define as personal belief that something will happen. It’s similar to judgment or assumption people made to a certain person or group of people. It may not be true and it could be different from what is expected. People can also change how they live their lives based on their own expectations just like how the Greasers and the Socs had different expectations. These two groups have contrast expectations that caused bad actions to come up or lead them to benefits for their own group. Expectations may force people into something they are not, even if it is to become a hero or the opposite.
Overall “Pretty in Pink” is a really good movie, it is better than I expected it to be. It was not amusing in some parts, but the soundtrack that they used was really good it really fit into every part that was going on. I recommend High school students or students going into high school to see it because it is based on that level of education and will make sense to

Although both men came from different backgrounds, their contrasting societies and structures affected the way in which they regarded economic and political expansion and also their contact with other cultures. Societies like the Chinese and Portuguese had many cultural differences such as their different religions. The Chinese practiced neo-Confucianism whereas the Portuguese were Christians which was one of the many purposes of their exploration, to spread Christianity. There were also many cultural similarities between the two societies such as their long lasting histories and their explorer’s curiosity to seek out to new lands, which resulted the two societies in having different views on economic and political expansion and contact with other cultures. Both Confucian and Christian ideologies favored those who worked over the wealthy. Thus, to a larger extent, the structures and values of a society have an extensive impact on the way people view economic and political expansion and contact with other cultures.
When watching Grease: Live! I was astounded that it was going to be three hours long. THREE hours of my favorite movie, I think yes! It was much longer than the original, so his meant that there had to be more scenes in the live version. There was a whole scene of Sandy at cheerleading try outs and she was really good, unlike the original film where she could hardly do a cartwheel at the pep rally. Steve (Ron Howard), and Curt (Richard Dreyfuss) will be leaving for college the very next day, the build up of years of hard work. Finally they'll be able to leave their small hometown and "spread their wings", experiencing life in ways they never have. Curt is unattached to anyone, but Steve will be leaving behind his longtime girlfriend Laurie (Cindy Williams), who happens to be Curt's sister. Also remaining at home are Terry (Charles Martin Smith), a fumbling nerd, and John (Paul Le Mat), an older kid with "the fastest car in the valley". The two main things that kid's focused on in 1962, it was cars and music. Everyone who's anyone cruises the strip in their shiny automobiles and while they're doing that they're listening to Wolfman Jack on the radio. Music is an integral part of this group, defining its moods, fears, desires and feeding from the same emotions.

In an age where Hollywood blockbusters mainly consist of remakes, sequels, mediocre comedies, action films focused more on computer-generated effects than more genuine effects, and horror films relying more on jump scares than suspense, I personally side with older films, particularly those released a couple of decades ago. When someone is asked about their favorite movie, many people's favorites will have been made in the 1980s, including Star Wars Episode V, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, and Die Hard. For me, one of my favorite films is the 1982 release First Blood, starring Sylvester Stallone. This movie was the first and most critically acclaimed film in the series, as the following sequels and remakes have met with negative critical reception, mostly because they focused more on how many objects can be blown up within the running time than of a coherent plot or a cast of interesting characters. From reading the general consensus at the Rotten Tomatoes review for First Blood, the critics involved share my sentiment that it is a “much darker, more sensitive film than the sequels it spawned” ("First Blood (Rambo: First Blood) - Rotten Tomatoes").

At the beginning they Sandy & Danny start off with a great relationship. They meet at the beach during summer break. Thinking they would never see each other again they went their separate ways. But Sandy ends up moving and goes to the same high school as Danny. They don’t know that the other is at the same school until Rizzo, one of the “pink ladies” introduces them to on another at the football pep rally. This is when all the conflict starts. Danny and Sandy are so excited to see each other, but all of sudden Danny changes his tone of voice, as well as attitude toward Sandy. Sandy is taken back by the way Danny is acting. She asks him, “What is wrong with you?” Then he replies “What’s the matter with me, What’s the matter with you?” Going on she calls him a fake and a phony and says she wishes she never laid eyes on him. The T-Birds, Danny’s friends start giving Danny a hard time about Sandy. So in a nutshell he treats her like she is just an ordinary person and not a girl that he cares for. On one day Sandy is at the local restaurant with a guy that happens to run track and Danny keeps watching her. When Sandy goes to the juke box she walks by Danny and does not acknowledge his existence. Danny then approaches Sandy and begins to give her a hard time about the guy that she is with. Sandy is very short with Danny and does not let on that she is upset.
This implication is shown in all three studied films with Singin' In The Rain being a romantic musical, Grease being a coming of age musical and Hirspary being a coming of age drama musical. In Hirspray, the genre hybridisation is quite apparent with the racial inequality issues that are faced in the film along with the drama and coming of age aspect of the film.With the genre of being musical mixed with one or more genres it expands the target audience by bringing in people who enjoy coming of age films and drama films as well as those who are interested in Black Civil Rights. This expansion of genre also changes how musicals are viewed, not subjecting them to only being amusical but allowing them to be more by combining romance or comedy or other possible genres. The charcteristics of breaking into song and dance and the grand finale also effect genre hybridisation in films as they can change how a film pans out, with what the songs say and how the grande finale concludes the film, making it sad or happy ie. weither charcters graduate or not. In 'Singin' In The Rain' the romantic songs help to shape the film into a romantic musical hybrid, for example the grande finale of 'Hairspray' with the integration of black and white people shapes the filmas one that deals with Blck Civil Rights and also a drama musical. Genre hyrbridisations expansion of ausience and genre brings in more money for the director(s) and industry by how it provides a larger, more diverse audience that it would have been previously. The movie starts off where one the characters is held at gun point. Of course we all wonder how he got there, so the narrator takes us back to where it all starts. We meet an unnamed character who has insomnia. We learn about his life and that he lives a pretty decent life. Of course, we would not have a movie if our main character was content with his life. There needs to be more conflict. Due to his insomnia, he takes up going to support groups that help people in need (i.e. men with testicular cancer, alcoholics, and dying people). He soon notices a lady named Marla Singer who is showing up at the same support groups he goes to even the one for testicular cancer. He catches onto her game simply because she shows up there. Later on he is on a business flight and meets another character named Tyler Durden who is very interesting. Our noname character gets home to find that someone has blown-up his condo, so he decides to call his “single serving friend” from the plane ride.
