The question of identity regarding God and the Devil has been an ongoing dilemma for religious philosophers. No true identity can be formed due to the lack of undeniable evidence surrounding the figures. In addition, it has always been difficult to relate either characters to tangible or worldly matter; seeing how both are non-perceivable and equivocal figments in our minds. A start is to relate these supernatural beings to each other. The abilities of each are in contrast; God can create but not control, whereas, the Devil can control but not create. Creation is the act of making new matter, whereas the act of controlling is forcing matter to act based on the wishes of the controller.
One of God’s monikers is “The Creator”. He made the universe in seven days, brought a huge flood upon the Earth and rained fire and sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah. Killing through massive disaster was the only option for God, because he couldn’t control the people and make them benevolent. He didn’t have the power. If God had the power, then he would have acted accordingly. God doesn’t like to kill his people, despite him being quick to kill. He wants humans to be fruitful and multiply, he doesn’t want to destroy them. It is irrational to believe that a creator would want his creations to die. In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, God even gives the town a chance to redeem themselves, but the town fails.
God has another moment of mass creation during Exodus. He creates ten plagues, one after the other. The first was blood, then God sends different animals and plagues to destroy the Egyptian society. Jesus was created by God and deemed to be his son. He preached Jewish reform to all who would listen. In addition, he was known to heal the sick and cast away evil demons. Jesus was always able to control, but not create. He didn’t create any defense for himself when he was about to be killed, but he did make a martyr of himself. The death of Jesus creates a completely separate religion from Judaism. This split God’s people into two different sections. Later, one began persecuting the other, and in some places, hasn’t stopped to this day. This is not the outcome that God would’ve wanted.
The really crazy thing though, is that Jesus always wanted to be a servant to the human race, he was the son of man, and in the biblical sense, son is a lower status than father.

When Jesus walked on this earth over 2000 years ago, there was a division among the Jews on wither or not He was the true Messiah that He claimed He was. The Jews believed that He was not the true Messiah because of many substantial and vital distinctions between Judaism and Christianity. It must be remembered that Christianity emerged from Judaism, but not on a straight line. To say that the two religions are completely different would be a complete misstatement. He is God incarnate who became flesh to take away the sins of the world. He was a poor servant, an obedient child who grew up with wisdom and understanding and became man so that the Word became flesh to dwell among humanity (Weaver, 2014).
