American and German sports cultures have various similarities and differences. Sports are a big part of both of our cultures but the sports that are valued the most do differ. America and Germany have influenced each other with sports that they play and the exercise techniques we both use. Both cultures are known for a great successful history of sports with many different famous individuals and teams coming from each country. The sports that German and American fans are passionate about do differ dramatically. Although soccer is a rising fanatic in America, it has always and will always be more important to the German culture. There are about 25,500 pro leagues in Germany that players have an opportunity to join and be apart of. German fans are crazy about their soccer and for a good reason(“Leisure and Sports”). People from all over the world come to America to play in the professional league known as the NBA. Although Germany does not value basketball as much as Americans do, they still have pro leagues that basketball players compete. He came to America to play basketball because he knew that he would become better recognized worldwide and they get payed much more than they do in the German professional leagues. Life in Italy is much different than life in the United States. In today’s game, foreign and international players have become a common site and are fundamental parts of many NBA teams.
