Additionally, Obama has unique characteristics that are shown in his leader’s nature. First, he is ever willing to learn from other brilliant people surrounding him.He is not an ego-centric man `a quality that makes him humble and gets advice from other persons.Another attractive quality is that he is a seeker of challenges (Duncan, 2013)).

Bush’s leadership characteristics

Unlike Obama, who is a Democrat, Bush was a Republican. President George Bush is well known for his command-and-control leadership style.Bush’s leadership style was far away different from Obama’s.The commanding – authoritative like leadership that Bush used is challenged by today’s leadership that is guided by a lot of wisdom.A form of administration that was deeply buried and forgotten when Obama assumed office.

Therefore, the presidents are supposed to commit themselves to securing the homelandagainst the increasing threats of the 21st century. Besides, they are expected to prepare and plan for emergencies as well as investing quick response and recovery if a terroristattack occurs. The United States presidents are committed to ensuring that the nation is faithful to their ideals and values at the same time protecting American people.The head of state provides that the central government (Federal government) collaborates with the local states and the private organizations in the objective of prevention, mitigation and also responseto the attacks (Homeland Security, 2012). The attacks of September 2001 in America triggered amendment of security bill in 2002 called the Homeland Security Act 2002. This bill was ascent into law by the then President, George W.
