Genghis Khan was an amazing leader. He was known for his leadership, conquests and army. He was known as one of the best leaders ever to live. Genghis Khan built up the Mongolian empire so much that they were bigger than the Roman Empire. The Mongol empire conquered parts of China, central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. During his reign, he conquered more land than any other ruler in history. He had his territory reach double the size of the Roman Empire.

Genghis as a Leader. Genghis Khan was a very fair but ruthless leader. He introduced a law system called Yassa. This was to keep the empire in order. He also supported gender equality, tolerance to all religions and he also made a law where food must be shared evenly with whoever is there including prisoners.

Genghis Khan was amazing at attacking forts, walled cities and other places. Technology had a big impact for the Mongolian empire because they started to use catapults. Genghis Khan catapulted large stones, diseased animals, diseased bodies that were on fire, poisoned food that people would eat and die and flaming bombs over the walls of cities.
The catapults were dismantled and transported on horseback then re-assembled and used. Another battle tactic was Damming. This was when Genghis Khan and his troops would create a dam and reroute that stream to flood the city. The most sneaky battle tactic of the Khans was to light extra campfires and place straw soldiers there so it would look like the Mongolian army was bigger than it was.

Genghis Khans first defeat was in the battle of Ain Jalut in 1260. This battle was against Egyptian Muslims and shut down the western expansion of the Mongolian
