Recommended: Choice of career

All throughout my life I would always hear the phrase “what do you want to be when you want to grow up?” and I would never give a straight answer, but it became more prevalent in my teenage years. As soon as I reached freshman year of high school I figured out the answer. I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was a freshman I knew that I wanted to be a veterinarian.I was very fond of animals and I love to take care of them I loved being around them also. I've had many pets growing up and I knew that's what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.As a freshman I didn't know the steps to become a veterinarian, I didn't know what I needed to do I had no idea of what college I was going to go,but I knew that I needed to figure it out. …show more content…

I didn't really start looking into schools until the end of junior year. . I have looked at several schools since the beginning of July. I've looked at Lsu, Lsu a, you LL, and LA Tech.. at the beginning of the year in August I would really like to go to Lsu but after looking into the schools I have changed my mind.I have decided finally that Lsu a is the best decision for me. I will attend the school in the fall of 2018. I'm going to pursue a Bachelor Of Science in Biology. College career day really opened my eyes and speaking to the representatives from each college really helped me to make my decision.. coming from a small school I feel that going to be a small university would be a better option than just jumping straight into a huge school. Having a smaller classroom environment is . it's going to be better for me because that's what I'm used to. . I plan to do for years at Lsu a and after I graduate I'm going to apply to vet school at Lsu. Here I will further pursue my career in becoming a veterinarian. .
