The book I chose is the maze runner. The first important thing that happens in this book is Thomas gets sent up to the glade. He discovers how the glade works and meets a lot of the people that have been sent to the glade just like him. During his 2nd day on the glade a girl is sent up. The very first girl to live in the glade and also the last person to be sent up the glade. While everyone is doing their daily work Thomas goes exploring in the forests that surround some parts of the glade. While he's in the forest, he runs into their graveyard. Then while hes looking at their tombstones he is attacked by a boy that got stung called ben. Alby comes to the rescue and kills ben. Next thomas is introduced to the job of being a slicer. A slicer is a buthcer for the chefs. He doesnt really want to be a slicer but he wants to be a runner. When he walks out of the slaughter house he walks past the box that brought him there and sees a kid enter the glade through the maze and stop 3 steps in. he then collapsed and alby and thomas helped him. They end up getting trapped out in the maze for the night which is not good because that is when the greivers come out. When minho sees a greiver he gets scared and runs but thomas stays with alby and makes it out of the maze in the morning. The two boys decide to go to their friend Dally; he gives them money and directions to a church in the country. There they hide out for a long week, and after it Dally comes to find them. First, in the introduction, It says, “He began his new life standing up.” This makes it sound like Thomas was born a new when he entered the maze, which is kind of true because Thomas has no memories of his past life. Thomas has no clue what has happened, where he is or what his name is. Thomas just thinks Thomas and continues to live as if his name is Thomas. These are the first interesting ideas that we are exposed to in the introduction of the Maze Runner.

After Thomas gets a tour of Glade from Alby, Thomas doesn't know what the "maze" or the "walls" are. Next, a girl showed up in the box and she's in a coma and no one knows her name or anything about her. After Thomas walks to the graveyard and Ben jumps on Thomas and he starts fighting with Thomas, Newt quickly came and saves Thomas.
Once they are inside, they track down the jewels, and meet the Queen. Suddenly, with no prior warning, they discover that their brother Tink is next to inherit the throne. The book ends with them looking through photos and letters from their father. The book, which is definitely interesting, takes many sudden twists and turns.
They also run into problems. They hear of this lake monster that has been terrorizing the Bottomless Lake. They run into Mr. Lebau, the owner of the supplies like scuba gear store and gas station. They also run into Mr. Taylor, a fellow fisherman that left the town with all the other people. Not only that, They ran into Julie Johnson, daughter of the owner of the grocery store who came back for her cat.
In The Maze Runner, Thomas recalls nothing of his life except for his name. He finds himself surrounded by a bunch of boys. Like all the other Gladers, Thomas appears in the Glade terrified and disoriented. However, he senses a powerful bond to the Maze. He quickly exhibits courage and confidence when he saves Alby and Minho from the Grievers after they had to spend the night in the Maze.
Thomas is the main protagonist of The Maze Runner and his main goal is to remember his past and get out of the maze. Thomas is a little upset and angered when he just arrives in the glade trying to piece together his memories. He can remember basic things like his name but nothing more than that. Tom begins to explain his experiences during World War I, which he fought in as a young man. He tells Desmond about his best friend, who grew up with him and was always by his side. They did everything together, and decided to enlist in the Army together. While in battle, Tom’s friend was shot through the back, internal organs spilling out of his gut. Tom explains through the tears that war is not something to be taken lightly, that it is evil and gruesome.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner is a science fiction novel that includes action and thriller. The novel is about a sixteen year old boy named Thomas who wakes up with no memory from where he came from or who he is or what he was doing there and in a metal cage box surrounded by many teenage boys looking at him weirdly. Throughout the novel there is many science-fiction themes and characteristics displayed such as futuristic technology, alien, robot like creatures environmental and social changes also unrealistic and fictional events.
He gives them $50 and directions to a church outside of town. The boys hop on a freight train and find the hideout where they are to wait until Dally comes for them. Hiding in an abandoned, rural church, they feel like real outsiders, with their greased, long hair and general hoody appearance. They both cut their hair, and Pony colors his for a disguise. They pass the time in the church playing cards and reading aloud from Gone with the Wind.

When the doors of the elevator open up he is pulled into a humongous square surrounding, called the Glade, by a group of teenage boys. The boys in the Glade refer to themselves as the ‘Gladers’. Thomas learns that the Gladers have lived in there for two years and that the Glade is located in the center of a maze which contains a labyrinth of high walls that move during the night and deadly creatures called grievers. The Glade is led by two boys, Alby and Newt; they both maintain order in the Glade by enforcing strict rules and jobs that keep the Gladers busy. A day after Thomas’ arrival an unknown girl arrives in the Glade. This shocks everyone because the Gladers only receive a new person every month, never within the same week. This also shocks everyone because she was the only girl in a maze full of boys. The girl also gives a message that everything is going to change and that she is the last one ever. Right after her message she immediately falls into a coma. The arrival of the girl causes many things to go chaotic including the sun seizing to rise, the Gladers stop receiving supplies from the creators of the maze, and the doors of the Glade that protect the Gladers from the grievers at night stop closing. When the girl, Teresa wakes up she informs Thomas that they both knew each other in the past and that the maze was a code. Thomas and the people who run around the maze to map out the labyrinth, the runners, look through the archives of the maps and find out the code.
