When reviewing the Bible and what it is about, many do not realize that it is more than stories we know and live by. The Bible itself is considered to be God’s “instruction manual” on life, but it is also much like a history book because it focuses on the creation, fall, redemption, and restoration of the world. Many often overlook this fact, but the Gospel is a key part of the Bible. For example, the Gospel focuses on foundational truths we should live by, verses that can help us through life, what we can share with others, and questions we should apply to life. There are many foundational truths found in the Gospel of John in which we can live by. Within the chapters of John, John talks about Jesus’ life on Earth and what He did on Earth as well. Some foundational truths we as Christians should live by is trusting that Jesus will provide for us in HIS timing. Many people in this world do not want to be patient instead of waiting for something. In order to receive God’s blessings, one must wait for Him. John 7:51, is a great verse in which all Christians should live by. “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?" (John 7:51, NIV.) What this verse talks about is how people should not convict a man of any wrongdoing without hearing the full story. Many people now make more assumptions rather than hearing the person out.
