The book I read for the November book report was Fairy Tale Matchmaker, by E.D. Baker. I think this is a fantasy type book, because there are fairies and mythical creatures. This is a 368 page book. According to a review on Amazon, it says this “takes you through funny, yet sweet ride through the book.” I would say this is a 5th grade level book because the vocabulary was easier than the other books l have been reading. The main character is a girl named Cory, she is magical and can turn into a fairy any time she wants. She is stubborn, girly, and determined. She has dark brown hair, and has a pet woodchuck. Her best friend is a girl named Marjorie, who later in the book, Cory has a part time job with. Marjorie is a friend that is looking for love, and Cory decided to help her. I think this is in a dystopian type world, because everybody has a different magical power. For example, there were the 3 Little Pigs, fairies, goblins, Cupids and Little Red Riding Hood. …show more content…

She hated the tooth fairy job, so she quit. The TFG was trying to persuade her to come back by throwing things through her window, planting flowers that spell “Cory is a trader” and kidnapping her. Meanwhile, she still refuses to join back. She is trying to find a new job, and she can’t find the right one. She tried canning beans, baby sitting and finding the right person for others. The main conflict is that Cory won’t rejoin the TFG, but they want her back. The theme is if you have a really good paying job, take advantage of it and think of the people who aren’t as fortunate as you. This theme goes with the part in the story, when the TFG was the best paying job, but Cory just gave it away. In the end, she finds her own job passed down from her grandfather, as the new
