Is there an idea you would be willing to die for? The answer to this question is simple for me.
Yes. I would gladly give up my life because of my faith in and my love for the Lord Jesus Christ. When there is a truth that you believe in, you have a reason to live . When you have nothing to believe in, then you have nothing to strive for and whatever you do becomes irrelevant. If you have no purpose for your actions you produce nothing of value. That person, whose actions are irrelevant, would become depressed, passive, angry or even worse. Society as a whole would see an increase in crime and hateful actions. Because without something to believe in, there is no love.

Furthermore, people will die for what is true. For example, in the book “Fahrenheit 451” an old woman was caught hiding her books. The firemen come to her home and proceed to ravage her books and belongings. The firemen's flippant attitude towards her is abominable. They ransacked her house until they found most of the books. They piled them on her front yard. However, before the firemen set her house ablaze, the woman lights a match and sets herself, her house, and her books on fire. For example, If someone were to ask a Muslim if they were willing to die for their religious beliefs. The answer would be a simple yes. As a result of being taught this their entire lives. Christians would strongly argue against their beliefs ,since Jesus teaches something completely different. Nevertheless, they would continue believing in what they feel sure to be true. On the other hand, no one is willing to die for what one knows is not true. For instance, would someone die for the notion that the sky is green, when it is obviously blue?
