Almost everyone reads something every day, even if it's something small as reading a sign or reading a book. But could you imagine how it would be like if reading books was illegal. Well a book called Fahrenheit 451 is about how reading books was a crime and the punishment would be horrible. Nowadays reading books is very important, whether it's reading online or reading printed books. But there are many arguments out there that we should only read books online or only read printed books. But the best way to deal with this problem is to have a Balanced media diet. Reading printed books have many benefits to it. A piece of evidence that can related to this is that “the book is the oldest technology, we say. Look! It doesn’t even have batteries! (Gatward) This quote can lead to a result of having no worries when reading a printed book, with many benefits to it. For example if you were outside and you wanted to read a book you would have no problem reading, but if you were reading it online you might of need internet in order to read it, but not in printed book. Clarisse is a very smart and thoughtful character. She isn't stuck on materialistic things like other people in their society; she enjoys nature. Some personality traits would be confrontative/extroverted, knowledge-seeking, scatterbrained, curious, and knowledgeable. Because of these things, she is considered crazy and is an outcast: "I'm seventeen and I'm crazy. My uncle says the two always go together. When people ask your age, he said, always say seventeen and insane. Isn't this a nice time of night to walk?" (Bradbury 5).
In today’s world, there is an abundance of social problems relating to those from the novel Fahrenheit 451. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, the protagonist Montag exhibits drastic character development throughout the course of the novel. Montag lives in a world where books are banned from society and no one is able to read them. Furthermore, Montag has to find a way to survive and not be like the rest of society. This society that Montag lives has became so use to how they live that it has affected them in many ways. Bradbury’s purpose of Fahrenheit 451 was to leave a powerful message for readers today to see how our world and the novel’s world connect through texting while driving, censorship and addiction.
