Today, most children use the internet every day. Studies show that 87% of twelve to seventeen year olds are now online, according to a new 2015 Pew Research Center Report. According to that research, that’s a 24% increase over the last 4 years.
“We are directly or indirectly reliant on the use of computers and the internet in our daily lives. As internet can now be accessed from different mobile devices like smartphones, tablets and laptops, modern technology can encourage creativity and innovation in our kids. Nowadays, our students mostly learn through computers and internet, be it in schools or in homes. She knows how to unlock her IPad, go to YouTube, go to her games, and even takes “selfies”. To me, Internet makes kids a whole lot smarter.
Children are very curious and want to know every little thing that goes on, or how to do something. Everything matters to them and they want to be taken up on a challenge.
Also, the Internet has everything they need to know. The Internet, whether we know it or not, has EVERYTHING children need to know in terms of education. For instance, if children don’t know how to do something or don’t know how to do their homework, they can always look it up on google. Also, there are trustworthy websites to help them prepare for a test. The Internet is a place to play, learn and explore. Children always like to explore and try out new things. Studies show that three to eight year olds are truly educational.
Social skills of children can greatly improve by appropriately using instant messaging, email and social networks. These options enable students to connect with other students and share useful information and learn about various regions, cultures and customs across the globe.
