Kids should be required to play a sport. Sports are good for children's health. In the text from Marine Corps Community Services it states, “Programs promote the value and importance of sports and physical activities in the emotional, physical, social, and mental development of children.” This quote proves that programs promotes that children should play sports because playing sports is good for development in many different types of things kids need while they grow up. Another example is,“ Sports practices and games provide an opportunity for exercise that can keep kids in shape and healthy”(Amanda Davis 1). This evidence proves that practices and games are good for kids health because play practices and games can keep kids in shape and healthy
What could you do to prepare your kids for success in the future? Sports are one of the best ways to prepare kids for success in the future for many reasons. According to University of Missouri Health Care, “Sports require memorization, repetition, and learning - skill sets that are directly relevant to class work.”(muhealth). Not only do sports help them become better students, but they also prepare them both mentally and physically and teach them multiple life lessons that will better them in the long run. The great thing about sports is that anyone can participate as long as they have the passion for it.
These games clearly support health through a myriad of approaches. Movements, characteristic of these sports, support cardio vascular health and reduce the participants’ risk of heart disease. Similarly, the physical action increases a student’s metabolic rate and helps increase lean body mass assisting with weight issues. Being active also encourages healthy decision-making when
When I go to a gymnastics meet and do really good, so I get that 1st place medal or trophy. It feels amazing, I mean the sport gymnastics is competitive and I sure do love competitive sports. The competitiveness gets you that rush of excitement. You feel nervous, but excited to get in there and try your hardest. Kids make better choices and have committed when they have the drawbacks of participating in competitive youth sports.
The first reason why young children should play sports is because it keeps you healthy. Sports help them to stay in shape because, the Aspen Institute, a nonprofit organization that does humanistic studies said, “Exercise is
“Concussion rates for children under the age of 19 who play football have doubled in the last decade, even though the overall sports participation has declined” (Youth Football Concussion Statistics). Football is extremely popular in American culture. Children all across the world love watching and playing the sport. However, many studies have shown numerous possible long term effects of starting the beloved sport when young. Undeveloped brains have a harder time recovering from bumps and blows that occur during playing time. After examining the long term effects of children playing football, it is clear that the tradition of tackle football in youth should be held off until the brain is more fully developed,
Involving your child in sports is important part of growing up. There are several benefits to children playing sports. The child will learn how to make friends outside of school, church, and family. It will help develop self-esteem and physical skills. They discover what it means to be a member of a team, and how to win and lose with self-respect. Children also need to be active every day; exercise promotes growth and improves physical and emotional health. The Office of the Surgeon General states that active children are at less risk to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease as well as many cancers (Office of the Surgeon General, January 11, 2007).
“Maybe I´m stupid or whatever, but to me if I got a concussion, if I could see straight and carry a football, then I´m not telling anybody”, Ricky Williams, NFL Football player. The argument about whether kids should play football or not is an important topic to argue. People need to understand that the concussions and other injuries are more serious with young kids. The problem is that many people think that it could be stopped by not allowing kids to play at all. Although parents can reduce risk of injury by not allowing their kids to play football, parents should let their children play football because it lets kids follow their dreams, it helps kids become more mature and independant, and if kids use proper technique they can reduce injuries.
Have you ever gotten a participation trophy? Think back to all of those ribbons and awards lining your shelves when you were a child. You would go to t-ball and at the end of the season, you would be handed an award for just showing up. Back then it seemed like the best thing in the world, but now, it sounds ridiculous.
Should kids get trophies just for participation? That's the big question. People have different ideas on this subject. Today's society has changed its ideas in how we should treat competition in young people. It used to be that only kids who have done good in the sport receive trophies, but now, everyone who participates gets one. Many people like think that only kids that have achieved excellence in their sport should receive trophies, while others believe all participating kids should get one. I, for one, believe that kids should only get trophies if they have achieved excellence in their sport.
For quite sometime sports have been a big part of schools; however, many people think it is time to get rid of them. Studies have shown that athletic activities at schools are starting to get kids to have bad grades because they are so attracted to sports they don’t pay attention to school. Therefore, schools should no longer have sports because it gives students more time to study and pay attention in class, saves money for classroom activities and work, and gives the schools time to repair classes.
Imagine not being able to play your favorite sport. That might happen to youth football players today. This is the thirtyth straight year that football is the most popular sport and thirty-five percent of fans call football their favorite sport. That is more than one fourth of football fans in America. This is also one of the common topics in 2016 right now. Would you let your kids play football? Many people think that youth kids should play football. Kids should play football because it is a good source of exercise, kids can get a scholarship and football teaches good life skills.
Many parents will argue about whether kids should be allowed to play sports at such a young age. In my opinion, I think kids shouldn’t be allowed to play sports at a young age. When they grow older, I think that kids should be allowed to play sports. When a young athlete gets injured, coaches may not be trained for an injury and the child can suffer more serious injuries just from that. Kids want to skip practice so they will often fake an injury, serious coaches will use shaming techniques and call athletes “ladies” or man up, and athletes might not have the best protective gear, making them more likely to have a concussion. Worst of all, coaches
I believe schools should not force students to participate in organized sports. Medical conditions, such as asthma, prevent students from being able to participate. Family situations may leave the student with no ride to or from practice. Students may not have time to be able to
Your kids wants to play sports, but that sport is football, what would you say? Well my opinion for that is yes, kids like to challenge themselves. When they get tackled they get adrenaline through their body and then they feel so good that they want to keep playing. Kids want to play football, but parents don't. They think that their kids will get hurt. But some kids do get hurt. Kids like challenges so they play football. Some people may think football is a bad sport, it's not. Kids know that they are going to face other teams and they know how fun it will be to tackle them. Football isn't a bad sport, it is the most challenging sport and kids love challenges.
It 's been outrageous , how many kids get injured per year playing youth sports for school and organizations. The youth who play sports receive plenty medical attention throughout the year due to injuries cause from actions made occuring in games. Health plays a big part in sports because if your are are not healthy many things can go wrong with the body including dehydration, heart problems , and muscle spasm. Playing a sport can be very hard to juggle with school and also getting talked down by coaches and parents. Dehydration is a high possibility because of outside sports that happen in the spring/summer and playing and practicing in humid conditions that you are not well prepared for can be bad and there will be consequences. Parents and
