Nowadays, a lot of people are thinking college isn’t worth the time, effort, and money. It has its downsides; college isn’t for everyone, there are those that fail to graduate even within six years of schooling, it’s expensive and it’s not always of good quality. What they don’t realize is that college has more benefits than disadvantages. College is worth it because it is a steppingstone to the future. It can help uncertain students discover what they would like to do for their careers. Workers that have graduated from college have higher wages than those with only high school diplomas, students get to meet new people and experience new things as they go to college. According to Andrew Rotherham, the majority of college graduates—86% of the graduates—agree that college is a good investment. College helps most students finalize their decision (or discover new opportunities) about their careers they will be having for the rest of their lives (collegeview.com). Higher education gives you advantage over people with only high school diplomas.
