Sometimes students question themselves if college is really worth it? That question has many answers that only a student can answer and decide for him or herself. For some students college can have a positive, life-long outcome. However, there are many obstacles when it comes to college. A student has to be very dedicated in school, and they have to know how to manage their personal life, school and work. College seems like it has more negative effects than it does positive for some people. For the following reasons college is not worth the cost because it is very difficult to find jobs after graduating or they find a job that is not in their field, some students who are not academically prepared wind up dropping out of school and wasting their money and some students struggle to balance school life, personal life and work life. As a result these students end up dropping out of school.

Many students believe that they can handle having a part time job and being a college student at the same time. For some students having a job and being in school can be manageable but there is some students who believe they can manage their personal life and school at the same time. In the talk show Tedx Talk with David Ray, Ray mentions that students with jobs tend to struggle more in college and have more of a chance to drop out, when he states “students have to work part time jobs or multiple jobs to pay for tuition and they do less school work”. College is worth it for the students who know how to manage their personal life with their school life but sadly there is students who do not know how to manage their time appropriately and end up dropping out of college which results to losing
College is thought of as what every parent wants for their child, so they can go off andmake something of themselves. For the most part, this is true. A majority of people believe that graduating from college will result in a well-paying job. Unfortunately, a degree will not secure a job for many graduates. In the U.S., the jobless rate for college graduates in 2012 was 7.7 percent, and has further increased in the past five years(Robinson). With such a large pool of unemployed citizens for employers to choose from, recent graduates are facing fewer opportunities for work due to little or no previous work experience(Robinson). Although many graduates are faced with unemployment, the majority do receive the opportunity to work. Students suffer a lot from the debts that they get from college and also the amount of studying that they do in college and when they graduate they ask themselves “is graduation from college really worth all the money that we paid and all the work that we have done?”
After graduation of my high school, I’ve decided not to attend college. I spent over three months preparing for college admissions. Over three months of studying for the SAT and writing essays for colleges. But, all this hard work was blown away in just a week. The week before the May 1st, the decision day, I had made my decision not to attend college. I have decided to return to my country and start working. Of course, there was a strong disagreement from my parents, but I didn’t hesitate. For the past years, I have worked in many different kinds of places and I have faced the true reality. This made me want to attend college and brought me to Concordia College.
One question that comes to mind when graduating high school is, “should I attend college?” For many graduates this question have a very obvious answer. A high school graduate may state that, “college is the best option if one is trying to get a higher level of education, and will help one compete for a higher paying job.” However, in my opinion most graduates do not consider the fact that going to college is a very big decision to make and that the schoolwork will not be easy. Going to college is not the best choice for every high school graduate because many students cannot handle college, colleges’ lower standards, and not all jobs require a college degree.
A child does not typically think about their life ahead. Although, they may not think about college, it is still there. Life ahead means getting a job to make money for everything else and if one wants a well paying job in the future, then college is the best option. College education is worth it because it makes a person better and more educated, college is not as expensive as some think, and the college pays for itself once there is a job to pay for it.
Does college still pay off? Yes, it still pays off and student should go to college. The three reasons to support this or you will have a large income, you will have a better choice of jobs, you will be happier and a healthier life.

The question of whether or not college is worth it, is becoming very prominent among teens and their families. From a young age, Kids get asked what they want to be when they grow up. However, many students nowadays enter college unprepared and are unfit for the obstacles they may face in higher education. Due to this, having college be free will offer students who shouldn’t be attending college to motivate to do so, and will waste time for educators and students at higher institutions.
As senior year comes to an end you turn in your college applications and some try to get a scholarship but, some decide to not go to college. Going to college is important because you will have more options of jobs. You might have a job that pays a lot but when you get really sick or get injured they won’t pay you for those days that you were recovering. If you do get sick and you went to college and you do have a job with medical insurance they will pay you for those days that you were recovering. College is important because those who go to college will earn more money

Those seeking a better standard of living by the means of higher education often find themselves in conditions that are more adverse than their lifestyle prior to attending college. Efforts to dwindle the expenditure of college education have the potential to produce a heightened reality of the world, with intellectual knowledge as a pivotal key. The expensive cost and limitability of a college education has potential to invoke incentive to work harder in one’s studies; however, the cost can crush individuals enrolled, obtaining a college degree does not ensure employment, and an excessive number of individuals are hesitant to attend college in the first place due to the prevalent debt tied to its completion.
In recent years, students have paid more to attend colleges and not earning all their money back. Some people are wondering if college education remains a good investment. However a study shows that both a bachelors degree and an associates degree still tend to outweigh costs. Both return about 15 percent over the past decade. When thinking about having to go to college, we often look at the parties and how hard it must be, but do we look at how much it costs, or if it best suits us as an individual? As we all grow up wondering why we often get told to go to college, we may not realize the pros and cons. With going to college it can be hard, make us as teens go into debt before we even start our career, or often we lose interest in the career before we graduate.
