My Leadership Philosophy
In relaying my leadership philosophy to you, I can demonstrate what drives not only my actions as a leader, but also as a person. In this philosophy, I will outline the expectations and standards I have for you and myself. My leadership philosophy centers around the morals, beliefs, and values I hold in the highest regard. These morals, beliefs, and values fall in line with those the Army provides via its various creeds and guidelines by which each Soldier should live, including the NCO Creed and the Army Values.
The opening of the NCO Creed captures a main, driving force in my leadership philosophy, “No one is more professional than I.” Being a consummate professional encompasses many of the qualities I feel each Soldier should possess, such as respect, fairness, and dedication. In my mind, professionals, without fail, demonstrate these qualities in all their interactions with others, regardless of rank and irrespective of their personal feelings toward that person. I promise to exemplify the qualities of a true professional; treating everyone with the utmost respect, being fair in all my judgements, and ensuring dedication to care for my Soldiers. …show more content…

Integrity means always doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. This is important to me because, a Soldier who possess integrity, I believe, possesses all the Army Values. Demonstrating integrity in all actions no matter how important, or seemingly trivial, shows me, as a leader that I can rely on that Soldier to do the right thing no matter the situation. It is of utmost importance to me that Soldiers feel like they can trust in me as a leader to do what’s right, no matter the personal consequences.
