The Evolution of Photography
Technology field is constantly changing, always improving and a never ending cycle, Photographic technology is no exception. The industry is always popping out new cameras, lenses, software and any type of gadget that could help photographers further their career. The past 20 or so years have been the most influential in photography's history. Kicking off the new century cannon a well known name in the photography industry with the the first affordable DSLR camera available in 2000. For most people the newest and biggest tend to follow was digital, all made available by Canon’s release of the D30 (Bourne). In November of the early 2000s the world saw the first camera phone Sharp’s J-SH04 available only in Japan, “It had a resolution of 0.11 mega pixel CMOS and a 256 – colour display. The phone weighed 74g and had dimensions of 127 × 39 × 17 mm respectively. However weird it seemed at the time to combine a phone with a camera it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Soon everyone was coming out with camera phones but it was small potatoes compared to Steve Jobs’ iPhone.
