What is marriage:
Marriage has existed longer than written history and there still a great demand. Over half of the adult population in the United States is married which consists of over 2 million people. At some point, two thirds of all Americans heterosexual or homosexual will vow to better or for worse till death do us apart. Despite, the recent decreased in the amount of people to get married, it’s still at a soaring 80 percent. Marriage is an integral part of who we are as humans but the real question is that because of evolutionary development or creation by God. These two belief systems play a fundamental role in the way we understand and live out marriage. The first view is evolutionary development which believes that marriage wasn't created by God and it was not originated in the beginning, however it was develop by society in the context culture. Therefore, concluding that marriage was a human institution invested throughout history as a way to carry out social roles. The second view would fall under the biblical view. Marriage is not of human origin, because it began with the Creator God. It was created by God from the beginning of history when He created the heavens and the earth . As the Creator of marriage, God has the right to tell us which rules should control marriage. Tim Keller affirms this in his book Meaning of Marriage; “Marriage is God’s idea. It is certainly also a human institution and it reflects the character of the particular human culture in which it is embedded. Accept all, judge none. Phrases as such are becoming mantras that rule our lives. Our current culture highlights the importance of equality and respect of all. Psychology proves that the more one repeats a lie, the more one starts to believe it as truth. "Even when biology refutes it, the law negates it and the statement is exposed as a lie" (Kohm, 2001), society defends and embraces homosexuality as part of the original design. It is worth mentioning that homosexuality in itself is not the problem, but altering the beginning purpose of creation is. Marriage, relationships and human evolution was not intended to be based and supported through two men or two women together. The Author of life had very clear intentions for each creature and its role.
Marriage was always the idea of a man and a woman, but we no longer see this in existence anymore. Throughout the years marriage has drifted from its original meaning, which is described as, "the formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife," by Oxford Dictionary. Today, marriage can be formed between people of opposite sex, people of the same sex, a man and multiple women, and many more. Many people disagree with forms of marriage other than heterosexual marriage. This is because they go against religious beliefs, as well as alter the true meaning of marriage. People who claim to be "Christians" who are, or support homosexuality, are directly going against God. Marriage is supposed to be a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, therefore, anything other than heterosexual marriage is naturally, morally and religiously wrong.

We must remember what marriage is for and why God has given it the design he did. Marriage is to be between a man and a woman. This goes back to the beginning of time and why God created woman in the first place; “to provide a helpful mate for Adam; it was not good that man should be alone” (Genesis 1:18, 20-23). So we see that marriage was God's idea, not men. Knowing this, why in the world would we as Americans give that right to homosexual couples? Marriage is a blessing the God gave to man. In society today, many individuals have forgotten the importance of marriage. People have the tendencies to marry anyone at anytime because they do not see the significance of marriage and God. America was founded by God and his beliefs. The United States screams God everywhere from currency to the Pledge of Allegiance. Thus meaning, why would the United States, a place of God, allow something morally wrong and sinful? Some would argue that homosexual marriage is a step in the right direction for human rights. They believe it is an act of freedom. This is wrong because homosexual matrimony is everything God stands against. Citizens today do not have the right to try and add or delete any scriptures in the Bible to help themselves. God made the Bible to guide people in the right direction. People need to read the bible in order to understand the word, not to change it. Accepting homosexual marriage would only hurt America. It is a major threat to the structure of families. The country should not take lightly the meaning of marriage and on a higher note try and take it away.

Before during the ancient times, women had to marry those in their families, and could not marry those that were Marriage use to be all about doing what you needed to support your family, which meant you married someone who was able to give you what you needed. Marriage wasn’t because you loved someone, but it was always because people wanted to preserve power.
