Piglet, from Winnie the Pooh, once noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude. I feel as though my childhood favorite so perfectly showed us that we always have time in our life to look back on it and give praise to God. It is important to show your gratitude towards others so that they can know how appreciated they are. In today’s day and age people get so wrapped up with how much they have that they forget the value of actual people. I try to always be satisfied with what I have because I know that in the grand scheme of things of I am so very blessed. I have always been most thankful for all of my family especially my extended family, immediate family, and second family. I have been …show more content…
They’re always there to love me, push me to new levels, and spend time together. Whenever I’m with my family, even if we are teasing and being sarcastic with each other, there's no denying the underlying feeling of absolute love. I especially am thankful of how well I get along with my sister. We need rough house or have rivalries and if we do they are all in good fun. She always is helping maneuver the feats of middle school from small things like what to wear to if someone hurt my feelings. My Family also is always pushing me to try my absolute hardest in every way. They help me do all of my homework or work out when to get it done if I’m staying up too late. My mom and dad always give me rides to volleyball and will drive me to privates, workout sessions, and anything else I need to do to get better. Without them I would not have the same drive to perform and succeed way above the belle curve. The thing I have always been most indebted to though is that we always are spending time together. Whether it’s watching survivor or cooking sun basket for dinner, we have fun with each other. I love going on trips around the world and staying up late at concerts with my sister, mom, and dad. It truly amazes me how well we all get along without having to force on family time or game night. Without my family I not only wouldn’t have a roof over my head but I wouldn’t …show more content…
Anne school. My school community challenges me, supports me, and guides me through my faith. I am so thankful that I get to spend five days a week being pushed to new places and learning new things. St. Anne's lets me expand my mind in honors classes and extracurricular activities. In my honors classes I can go from dissecting a cow eyeball in science to typing conclusions in math to learning about ancient islam in social studies. Most kids don’t like their school and I have the privilege of waking up every day and getting excited to put on my uniform. Another thing I love about St. Anne's is that they give me the opportunity to expand my right brain as well as my left. Every morning I start my day with zero period art and different electives such as writing in response to rock ‘n’ roll and sculpture. In these classes I am able to use my creativity to show my emotions and thoughts in a beautiful way. I also love doing future problem solvers and have since third grade. The rush of the competition and ability to try to judge and reform aspects of our society is something that really sets St. Anne’s apart. In all of my classes they challenge me to do my best and find different ways to complete a task. We have the privilege to learn curriculum up 3 grade levels above ours. I love that every student can progress at their own pace while still feeling challenged by their teachers. Another thing that
My parents, love to do things as a family, they always wanted to do things, with me and my sister, we are a very close family and its so great because I know that my sister will always be there like she was been for the past 16 years, I know she's always just a phone call away.
On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Dad was devoted to every one of you. We all hope that you'll share your memories of him with us, if not today then in the weeks and months to come.
August’s first year of school was important in many ways. He learned many things in both life and academics. If he had not gone to school he would have remained naive and ignorant of multiple aspects of life. Despite it not being perfect, his positive experiences at Beecher Prep outweighed the negatives. The easy path is not necessarily the best one, and for August, there is no denying this held true. His first year
I stand before you today to pay my last respects, and to say my final goodbyes, to my father Harry.
Lastly, the amount of time and effort I put into my academic work contributes to the positive reputation at the school. The Renert School is known by many names: "The Math School", "The Art's School" etc. because of all the hard work my classmates and I put into concerts, and schoolwork. The Renert School is a very important part of my life, and there are many ways that I can give back to the Renert
Located in a forest, was a park my dad had taken me to for a space of around two years. In the summer it was lush and virescent, the full trees bringing shade and fabricating new mountains to scale. The winter was beautifully barren and had seemed to be as clear as crystalline ice, reflecting the beauty around every surface. All year the park was feigning beauty and then mocking the word in which it was described. It held everything that could possibly make a child happy, including the beaming, champagne colored ice cream truck. Even the champagne was pretending to be beautiful; the color peeled off in feathers of paint as if the truck was pluming for everyone’s entertainment. My father got me an ice cream every time we went, which more or
Family is one of the most important things in a person’s life. As we grow up we tend to veer more to our friend and may start to ignore family. What we have to realize is how much we need and rely on our families. Family means that they will always love you and be there for you, even through difficult times in your life. My family means so much to me.
My family is very close and we are usually in the same room when it comes to cooking, cleaning, or eating dinner. My parents have always valued family time and I’ve grown to appreciate it. I view my family as very important people in my life and I show them that they are by telling them that I love them every day. It’s become a habit for me and I think it’s a good one to have.
My family had a big role in teaching me things that would benefit me in life. My mom would always teach me the little things in life shouldn’t get to me and I should always think outside the box. My dad in the other hand, taught me to be understanding and wise towards people, because that would make me a better person. Both of my sisters gave me an understanding on how to treat women with respect, and the right and wrong things to do in life situations. My little brother is what I used as motivation towards being really successful and showing him the right things to do in life and make sure he looked up as somebody who he wanted to be like.
They are the ones who support their children during those life decisions. Family is not always blood related. Finally, family is forever, family will never go away. Support is a massive part of the family. Family watches their kids and other family members fail and succeed all the time.
My family is the best thing I have ever had in my life, my father, mother, sister and brother. They know me a lot more than anyone else in the world because I have been with them all my life. We eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We live in the same house full of love and joy. Although they may be annoying at times but they all care about me. For example I remember when I graduate from high school , the whole family and I went to go visit Cairo, Egypt for vacation where we went as tourists and had the best journey ever because we had seen the pyramids in Cairo with our own naked eyes. In 2013, we also went to the holy city of Mecca for pilgrimage. It was amazing how billions of people came from every corner of the world in order to perform hajj. While most of the people were alone or in two’s, my family and I stayed together as one during the pilgrimage .My family is the first priority and that’s why this relationship is special and different from all the
I believe that students need a routine to help them think clearly and freely, such as that suggested by the Perennialist approach. Upon graduating from Concord College, I will attend graduate school and receive my Master’s degree in Education. I will be teaching at different places around the country, as I will be moving frequently. My future occupational plans include working with the Department of Defense school systems. I will use my educational background and my life experiences to enlighten and teach my students.
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. I love my parents for many reasons. They are always there for me when I need help or am need of anything.
I don’t know where I’d be without my family. We’ve been through thick, and thin. I’m very glad that I have them for moral support, and can depend on them for advice. They’ve taught me almost everything I know about life, whether it’d be household chores, manners, morals, cooking, etc. I’m pleased to have a very caring family that would do anything for me. I feel safe and secure with them. They provide me with the basic necessities such as food, water, and a roof over my head. I would consider all of the things they provide me with as luxuries, because not everyone has a comfortable place to reside in, or food to eat. If I didn’t have these basic necessities, then it would be another thing I would have to stress about in life. I like to joke around with them a lot, and it brings a smile to my face when I see their reaction. Having a loving, and supportive family is what makes me
In the end, my family as a whole is the reason that I am the person that I am today. It’s the way that different personalities all come together as one, the way my family handles hard situations, and the closeness I have with them that has really impact me and my life. I know that I would not be as cheerful, hardworking, or positive without seeing all these qualities around me for a majority of my life. It’s astonishing how just 6 people can change you for the better. I know I would be in a very different place in my life if it wasn’t for my family. Family is different for everyone, and mine is truly the best people for me.
