Ethical and bioethical issues are a constant struggle that all healthcare workers will encounter in some point in their career. Ethical is relating to moral principles. While Bioethics is the study of controversial ethical issues emerging from new situations and possibilities brought about by the advances in biology and medicine. It is also moral discernment as it relates to medical policy, practice, and research. "Bioethics" has been used in the last twenty years to describe the investigation and a study of ways in which decisions in medicine and science brought about in our health and lives and upon our society and environment.
In the healthcare field there are sever bioethical issues that are being introduced in today’s society. One bioethical issue would be blood transplant. There are certain religion’s that does not allow this type of medical treatment. An example of a religion that will turn down a blood transplant would be Jehovah witness. Jehovah witness would consider an unwanted transfusion is equal range to assault or rape. Taking blood is presented as disobedience to a very important divine command. …show more content…

Abortion is the removal of a fetus from the womb of a human female, at the request of or through the agency of the mother, so as in fact to result in the death of the fetus. It is claim that it is wrong to kill innocent human beings.” Fetuses are innocent human beings Therefore, it is wrong to kill fetuses.” In the healthcare field doctor, nurse, etc are not allowed to force upon an abortion even if it was life threatening to the patient if the patient refuse that is the end of that. The patient would have to sign special papers that would state that they turn down the treatment to protect those involved from being sued. Many would fight that abortions should be illegal because of their beliefs but it all depends on the person beliefs therefore, it’s there or an option for those who feel as it is needed/
