Unnecessary Animal Testing Animal testing has been used since early Greek times by physicians when they tested on live animals; since then it’s just continued and it is a cruel way of “testing science”. Through researching about animal testing one will see vivid and horrifying pictures of animals before testing, while they look so incredibly terrified and after testing when they look even worse, bloody, burned, bruised and tortured. Being tortured day in and day out with deadly medical treatments and being indefensible has become these animals everyday lifestyle. Scientist treat lab animals like they are not a living subject only a lab tool that is used for crude testing. All of this testing is unnecessary yet it continues on instead of using all of the new alternatives that are more effective and accurate. Every day, animals are tested on, from monkeys, goats, pigs and even your own house pets such as dogs, cats, mice, and rabbits. Because of animal testing animals like these plus more get their fur and skin burned from chemicals, they can be Also even if something harms an animal it can still be sold to humans. As Dr. Christopher P. Austin said “Traditional animal testing is expensive, time consuming, uses lots of animals and from a scientific perspective: the results do not necessarily translate to humans” (“8 Reasons Why”). This statement is 100% truthful animals reactions to things are not the same as humans, they are animals, we are humans and have different dna. Another good point said by Dr. Ronald W. Davis is, “Researchers are so ingrained in trying to cure mice, that they forget we are trying to cure humans” (“8 Reasons Why”).
