A turning point is a time when crucial change happens in a situation. “Have you ever had a major turning point in your life that impacted you and your country? The three characters that had life changing experiences were Melba Pattillo Beals from Warriors Don’t Cry, Jackie Robinson from I Never Had It Made, and Feng Ru from “The Father Of Chinese Aviation”, by Rebecca Maksel. In each of these excerpts, these three character faced life changing experiences that impacted themselves and their countries.

Feng Ru was the first aviator to come from Chinese ground. He was inspired by America’s success. In paragraph 6, it states,San Francisco massive “earthquake, and resulting fire caused Feng to relocate to Oakland instead.He responded by being focused on his goal. In paragraph 9, it states,”So anxious was Feng to keep his invention secret that he had the engine castings made by different East Coast machine shops, then assembled the parts himself. His discretion paid off;” Feng Ru impacted China by being the first Chinese pioneer to design and build airplanes. In paragraph 3, it explicitly states, China even considers is space program to be based upon the foundations of Feng’s work. Feng Ru was dedicated and, he wanted to become the “Father Of Chinese Aviation.” In conclusion, Feng Ru inspired many others and different aviators around the world. In conclusion Melba Pattillo Beals, Jackie Robinson, and Feng Ru all faced obstacles in their lives. Melba Pattillo Beals faced discrimination from angry mobs, Jackie Robinson also faced discrimination, and feng risked many things to become the “Father of Chinese Aviation.” Also each of them all inspired people around the world.
