Sharia Law Did you know the Islamic religion has a very specific law which is the Sharia Law? There are three important things you need to know about the Sharia Law which are the source and the basis of the law code, the authority that is final in the law code, and how does religion influence the law code. Sharia law is a very unique law that was made for the Muslims to follow. It is based on Quran, Hadith, and Sunnah, this is what makes it unique. This law states that there is only one god and that god is Allah. They believe Allah has created literally everything and in the next few paragraphs I will be telling you more about the sharia law. The sharia law is the system of religious law in Islam, it also was created by scholars in the eighth and ninth centuries. Muslims follow the sunnah which means they do what the prophet Muhammad did and they follow his actions. Muslims could not steal, eat pork, kill, harm other Muslims, drink alcohol, smoke, gamble, and they also had to do many things like pray five times a day, fast the month of Ramadan, try to make Hadj and many more things. Religion affects the sharia law because many people had different beliefs, but Muslims believe that Islam is the only correct religion and the only religion that makes sense. Muslim women can only marry Muslim men, but Muslim men can marry both non-Muslim women and Muslim women. In the Islamic religion marriage is a big thing, it’s not like a regular marriage, it’s very different because firstly they don’t buy rings, they don’t invite a bunch of people, they don’t wear dresses, and many more things.
