During this paper I will explain my values, decision making style, personality type, and goals. Values play a big role in each individual’s daily lives from the day they was a small child to the day they pass away. Although, some people’s values differ does not mean they are less important. A person’s personality will explain how they interact with others, and their strengths and weaknesses. Using deciding styles can help you when making decisions. Also, by setting goals we are more likely to achieve them. Making a goal choosing SMART, we can determine the Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound to develop a reasonable goal. Like it states on page 18 of the Solving the Puzzle of Life Handbook, “Whatever will be, will be.” Throughout my life, my mother would sing a song that said, “Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. The future 's not ours to see. Que sera, sera. What will be, will be.” There has been several decisions I have applied this style to: deciding what I say to confront a friend would hurt their feelings or not, deciding what to wear, and deciding a birthday gift for my twin sister. My personality (ESFJ) and values relate to choosing a decision making style because I do not like hurting others feelings, but I have remind myself that whatever happens, happens. First, deciding what I would say to a best friend to confront them with a problem. This problem results in using the decision making style, fatalistic decider, for helping me understand that I have to make myself happy and not worry about what they think. I needed to confront a problem that had a barrier between us as being friends, so using my go with the flow decision making style we resolved all problems, and now we are as close as we were before. Sometimes achieving goals can be hard for me when other things step into my path and I focus on that more than what I am trying to achieve. I have not achieved any of my goals ranging from eating healthier to learning how to play guitar. When trying to achieve the goal of eating healthier McDonalds sounded much better than healthy food. Also, trying to play the guitar was great until I just gave up because I did not see any progress. I know I could have achieved these goals if I strived harder to make these goals happen. A SMART goal setting is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. This setting will help me achieve the goals I have prepared to accomplish. Specific setting will make sure that I determine what I want to exactly to happen. Measurable will give me a time to set my goal. Attainable gives me the opportunity to determine if the goal is realistic, and if I can actually achieve this goal. Relevant will help determine if this goal means anything to me. Time-Bound setting provides an ending point and provides the information to strive to accomplish these
