First, Jacobson states that children need to receive better feedback from their teachers to show them that what they are doing is correct. Jacobson further describes the need for external rewards, such as a good job or keep it up. Another way to reveal feedback is to visually show them how they have improved, such as showing students the charts that reveal their reading level has increased (Jacobson). They are not expecting a response but instead showing that they respect the baby and they are developing their language. They talk through everything they are doing at the centre for example the educators announce when lunch enters the room and will describe what they will be having for lunch. They will tell the children in what order they will be having lunch, that they are going to wipe their hands and then after lunch they will change their nappy and then they will have a sleep. The same is done in the toddler room, the educators will speak almost the same amount to a toddler that can utter a few words as they will a baby who can only babble. This essay examines the components that contribute to being an effective early childhood educator. Effective early childhood education has been shown to be an evolving and complex process, and is influenced by many factors. These factors include a deep understanding of the theories and philosophies of many pioneering and contemporary pedagogues, such as Piaget, Montessori and Vygotsky and studies emerging from Reggio Emilia in Italy. Researchers have found, that unless the educator is working in a specific theory based environment, for example, a Montessori school, or a school where Piagetian practice is implemented, the contemporary pedagogy will base lesson plans on a selection of these theorists idea's and concepts rather than the entire philosophy ( Edwards & Hammer, 2006).
The Waldorf Approach Preschool is a highly debated area of a child’s educational journey. One of the primary goals of preschool is to prep the child for traditional elementary school. There are various contemporary models of early education that have been constructed to help children develop their educational career.
