“ The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people” (Unknown author). Culture is an opportunity to show other individuals the values and beliefs from their homeland. In this chapter, it states that culture is defined as lifestyles that are brought down from different generations bringing customs and values (Purnell, 2013). I witness many different cultures throughout my day, being able to experience the different customs regarding food, clothing, music and much more. Due to these cultures, each one of us may not understand each other’s beliefs, and values when rearing in the healthcare field.
