In addition, conservatives encourage tax cuts to stimulate the economy and advance individual economic freedom (Britannica) . Conservatives typically have traditional values, and believe that these values should be honored in politics. Additionally, Conservatives support cuts to public health benefits and welfare programs. Recently, Iran was invaded by the US due to the possibility of nuclear weapons being manufactured. A member of the Conservative Party would support an act to allow the US to use military bases in Europa, not committing troops. As the US being an important ally, conservatives want to show support to their allies, but spare the lives of their own troops. Immigration is a main topic of discussion in Parliament. In Europa, about 7% of the country is comprised of immigrants, often coming from poor Muslim countries. Many believe these immigrants have ties to terrorist organizations and are a threat to Europa. Conservatives believe in controlled immigration, not mass immigration. (freemovement.org) The conservative party strives to tighten immigration laws and crack down on the abuse of the system. The Conservative Party works to make it much more difficult for illegal immigrants to remain in Europa by restricting access to work, housing, benefits, healthcare, bank accounts and driving licences. Although jails have supposedly become more comfortable and beneficial, with access to exercise facilities and libraries, I would much rather see a criminal given a life sentence in jail than the death penalty.
