Coming from a musical background Terrence Mann most definitely lives up to his parents’ talent. He has formed a successful carreer around his talents. His career includes multiple appearances on Broadway, appearances in movies, and being a distinguished professor of musical theatre at Western Carolina. Today he passes on his passion for young people who hope to one day become as successful and well know as Terrence Mann.
Born Terrence Vaughan Mann in Ashland, Kentucky on July 1st, 1951 he is the oldest son of Helen and Charles Mann. His mother was a concert pianist and his father sang in a barbershop quartet. It was the various aspects of theatre that drew Mann to love it. In fact, it was not until his Junior year in high school that he decided theatre was his true calling. “I was fascinated with having words put in my mouth and that someone would say something back to me that would get us to a moment where we ended up in a kiss.
