T-Bone Walker was born on May 28, 1910, in Linden Texas; his real name was Aaron Thibeaux Walker. T-Bone’s father and his mother, were both musicians who separated not long after T-Bone was born(“T-Bone”, n.p). T-Bone once said that his earliest memory was hearing his mother playing blues guitar on the front porch (“T-Bone”, n.p). Through his church choir and his street singing stepfather, T-Bone became interested in music. His father, Giles Joplin was a musician who had fiddled dance music while serving as a slave at his master's parties. His mother, Florence Givens Joplin, born free and out of slavery, sang and played the banjo, and four of his brothers and sisters either sang or played strings.
Emmett Till was born on July 25, 1941; he was from Chicago, Illinois. Emmett had been an adventurous child, and hadn't know much about his father. His father, Louis Till, had died in 1945 in Italy. No one had known why Louis Till had died. When Emmett was 6 years old, he had been diagnosed with polio. Polio, short for Poliomyelitis, is a viral disease that can affect nerves and can lead to partial or full paralysis. He did recover but he ended up getting a stutter from it. Emmett had a hard time trying to overcome his stutter.

The United States trucking industry is a very thriving industry and has continued to grow since the beginning of the 1900’s. The motor carrier act of 1935 allowed regulations to be set for the growing trucking industry. These standards made trucking safer for the driver and others as well. With the growing of mass production of products, transporting these goods was not efficient using trains or other types of shipping, so large trucks and trailers became the most popular method for shipping. 	King started his career as a teenage professional musician on the streets of Memphis during the 1940s. He played gospel and blues on street corners for tips. Concerned in whether or not to play gospel or Blues, he decided to integrate both styles. In 1951, B. B. King had his first hit song ,"3 O'clock Blues.'' The song was so successful, record producers signed the young man from his Memphis, Tenn. home and send him to New York City, where he shortened his stage name from Beale Street Blues Boy to "B.B.''
Riley B. King better known as B.B. King was born on September 16th 1925 to a family of sharecropping farmers near a small town named Itta Bena in the Mississippi Delta. King's parents Albert and Nora Ella King separated when he was five years old and shortly after his mother moved to Kilmicheal Mississippi where Riley spent most of his time living with is grandmother. By age seven King was now working the field like a grown man. A couple of years later at the age of nine his mother died. King continued to live with his grandmother after his mother had past away. His grandmother was very religious and he attended church services with her. It was in the church where King begins to take an interest in music. He had dreams of becoming a gospel singer and learned how to play basic notes on the guitar from his preacher. Singer/Songwriter Neil Young was born November 12, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario Canada, to Scott and "Rassy" Young. Neil Young moved to Winnipeg with his mother when she and his father got a divorce (Erlewin N.Pag.).
