English 102 demands my full attention as much as humanly possible. From the first day I walked into your classroom this semester, I knew I was going to be pushed to produce the work I know I am capable of generating. Although I felt English 102 was going to be a challenge, I felt I had a major advantage over the rest of the peers in our class. The advantage undoubtedly being that I had the same professor the foregoing semester. By choosing a professor whom I felt comfortable writing for, as well as an increased comfort level with your familiar teaching style and grading scheme, I felt I would have the easiest transition into your classroom. Instead of taking a different English 102 class with a new professor who would take half of the semester to learn my name, let alone my writing style, I was confident that you would be able to pick up on my weaknesses and help me exploit my strengths as a writer. For instance, last semester you helped me to spot my ongoing weaknesses in my writing style such excessive run-on sentences, proper grammar and the use of appropriate punctuation where necessary. I knew these weaknesses were going to be a challenge in that I saw them as “carryover” problems from year to year in my schooling. You also have helped me to realize what strengths I possess and, in turn, carryover from year to year as well. For instance, the confidence in my ability to summarize and synthesize material from varied sources as well as my ability to write creatively have all given me the self-assurance I need to write with meaning and purpose. In reflecting on my work thus far, I am consciously aware of my overall improvements to date. I have become more aware of the importance in reading the assigned material thoroughly before class. This is directly linked to my quizzes in which the first mark I earned was poor, but I rebounded with perfect scores on the subsequent three quizzes. In examining my letter of introduction, I feel as if I showed what I am capable of producing under pressure. That paper was due right around the time I had to travel extensively between here and my distant home for two separate emergencies. With that being said, when you left positive comments at the end of my paper I was elated.

The preamble of the United States Constitution was almost an afterthought. It was not proposed or discussed on the floor of the Constitutional Convention. A delegate from Pennsylvania, Governor Morris, who drafted the final text of the Constitution, thought it up and drafted it at the last moment. The preamble helped to summarize the purpose of the Constitution. The Preamble did not, in itself, have any solid legal meaning or purpose. Preambles were not legal precedent or to be read as giving or limiting power. The preamble helped the Framers of the Constitution set the tone for the Constitution. Our Founding Fathers knew our government was not perfect, but we had a goal. We knew we could show the world the values and thoughts that are conveyed in the Constitution.
I came into this class under the impression that I already wrote well enough and wouldn’t need to improve. However, as I progressed through the semester I learned that there is always room to grow. The first paper I produced was not at the level I was hoping but after I actively decided to improve my writing my papers became much better. Looking back on my work in the class I wonder how much my writing has changed and where I still have room to improve. Without evaluating my work I can’t hope to become any better. Through this class I have grown much as a writer but there is still more I can learn.
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder, is characterized by a single patient inhabiting two or more personalities, or alters. Normally one personality at a time can be present. The patient is not normally aware of when the transition to a personality takes place, which is considered an amnesia or fugue like state. “Some predisposing factors making patients more apt to developing this disorder are: Having experienced a traumatic life event, most often in childhood, possessing tendency for the disorder to develop (biological or psychological), and the absence of external support from loved ones. Before a patient is diagnosed with DID, many are misdiagnosed. Some patients are diagnosed with depression,
Regardless of all of these improvements, I know my writing is still far from perfect. My arguments still lack the emotional appeal that, if present, would make my audience consider my arguments a lot faster. My analysis still lack development because often times I just state what happens instead of explaining why. In general, I need to work on controlling my voice and tone throughout an entire essay, which can be fixed if I choose my words more carefully to make sure my diction is uniform. Despite all of this, I am satisfied with myself, I am satisfied with the ways my writing has changed, with the way my writing skills have grown. Why? Because I am learning, and I know that I will continue improving as long as I take chances.
As a student, I have learned many different skills that I will take with me throughout my journey from this course. We have traversed many different types of writing styles, which any college student, or any person for that
Throughout the semester I have learned an astounding amount of information. The English 101 curriculum has not only taught me how to write in general, but also taught me a variety of ways to get my point across to the reader. Before I took English 101 I was an average writer at best, but now that I am taking a class that focuses on writing strategies I feel that I have been able to improve as a writer. During the course we were taught how to write an informative essay as well as how to write a persuasive essay. The type of writing that this class has taught me will most definitely help me with future classes as well as my future in the real world. Throughout the English 101 course I have been able to improve as a writer by composing essays
Vaccinations are most effective when used preventatively rather than curatively. Vaccines help to reduce contraction and spread of infectious diseases and lead to healthy populations. With continued use and research, we have and will continue to gain and understanding about how vaccines work and how they can benefit our society, both now and in the future. Although there are minor concerns to consider when choosing whether to become vaccinated, the benefits greatly outweigh the risk involved. Providing vaccines and immunization is a worthy practice that has proven itself over time. With continued administration, we can have safer communities, and help to reduce disease today while working toward the elimination and eradication of diseases in the future.
Writing this evaluative essay is both beneficial to the teacher and the TCC English Department. The professor because she had given us a chance to critique her and tell her, her strengths and weakness of her teaching; it favored the English department because they now know how effective the textbook is and how effective this class is to the students actually taking it. Because I had a teacher who was willing to help when in need, English 111 wasn’t as hard as others portrayed it to be. I had a good professor, peers, and the writing center to help me with this class. I hope to continue to be successful in the second part of the course. Although I do not enjoy writing essays this is an essay I enjoyed writing.

This class has been significantly more difficult than any other English class I have taken all throughout high school. This semester, I have been introduced to different styles of writing that I have never been exposed to before. This class has been stressful, but also fun. Over the course of the semester, I feel that I have grown as a writer in many ways. When I came into the class, there were skills I had that I already excelled at. During my time in class, I have come to improve on those skills even more. Before I took this class, I didn’t even realise what I was good at. This is the first class where I felt I received feedback on my writing that helped me to actually review my work to see what areas I lacked in and where I succeeded.

Do not judge a book by its cover or in this case a person by their appearance. Many people are being discriminated each year around the world. Discrimination has going long throughout history. Discrimination basically is the favoritism of different types of people or objects and also being treated differently. It happens to many people from public, home, and almost anywhere a person can go. Some people have to work harder than others because of their colors. Or the fact that the job is treating one person different than others employees; simply because that person is female or male. Sadly to say but, people do be criticized by others by the way they look. There are three types of discrimination that is unfair to judge a person by their race,
