Marshall Bruce Mathers III was better known as Eminem the rapper, that grew up in the slums of Detroit. He lived in a trailer park with his mom Deborah R. Nelson-Mathers. She was an abusive mother who never believed her son was more than just a failure. From this, he was driven to try to succeed in his hard life. He had a difficult life at school switching schools three times a year because of intensive bullying, but it was about to get even worse. When he entered grade nine he failed a staggering three times, never proceeding to the next grade. He was expected to fail like the rest of the people living in the poor trailer park. While going through some tough times Marshall stayed true to his rapping talent. He was discovered by Dr. Dre and soon grew up to sell over seventy million albums worldwide. His mother was a drug addict that neglected her own son. Eminem’s father left him and his mother when he was just a baby, without saying bye. Eminem Grew up in a white trash trailer park. Throughout the horrible hard life, he began with he pushed so hard that he broke out of his poor city and became an incredible artist. Eminem was once a dirt poor person and is now worth around two hundred and ten million dollars with no help at all at the age of forty-three. Eminem's mother sued him for ten million dollars in 1999 because of the accusation that the song “I'm Cleaning Out My Closet.” The song accused his mom of neglecting him taking prescription pills and being a horrendous mother. In the end, the court settled for twenty thousand dollars. Eminem released the album The Real Slim Shady LP in 1999, this was the most controversial rap album of the 1990’s because of the bad lyrics, provocative nature and sometimes even offensive themes.
