Furthermore, the structure of the music has three sections, section A, section B, and the return of section A, thus giving the piece a sense of unity and wholeness. Purple Whispers can be identified as utility music because it can inspire and comfort the listener. This piece can help reduce stress, cause one to relax, and also enhance mood. Moreover, Purple Whispers has a slow-fast-slow tempo. Section A can be identified as a largo tempo, because it has about 40-60 beats per minute. Section B of this piece has an vivace tempo. Additionally, Purple Whispers has both crescendo and decrescendo volume levels. Close to the end of section A, piano solo piece, one hears the addition of new instruments and increase in volume. Towards the end of section B, one hears diminuendo with the removal of instruments, lower volume, thus going back to section A, the solo piano piece.
