Part I Define the Terms:
1. Savoring Leisure indicates that we should utilize this approach by becoming conscious of all the positive benefits of our leisure activities. Furthermore, we should not practice any sport of hobby, without knowing what the activity implies, its benefits, and all the emotions that we associate with them. Enjoying a leisure activity, just because is part of our school’s curriculum, bring limited benefits. However, to maximize those benefits we genuinely must enjoy it, by learning about it and motivating ourselves intrinsically. The leisure activities should be positive for us.

Mindful Leisure, recommends us to focus our attention in the whole leisure activity to truly relish it and getting maximum benefits. This is an important task, because we must disengage from out daily concerns and responsibilities to savor the intermission. If, we do so, all our attention will be focused in the leisure experience. Again, leisure experiences must be challenging and meaningful to us, otherwise the benefits will be minimal.
5. Virtuous Leisure, according to Seligman, leisure can only become virtuous if, we serve the greater good, with activities that support others. Therefore, volunteering for someone in need and teaching some of our skills have benefits for us, and for the other individual. In a few words, virtuous leisure only occurs when we serve others by utilizing our strengths on certain hobby, sport, or activity. As we serve our neighbors or friends, we become engage with our community, and create lines of communication that benefit all.
6. Freedom of Choice, fortunately in recreation and leisure we have the opportunity of selecting those activities that we like, can afford, and are able to perform. This is one of the characteristics that make leisure a unique experience. Fortunately, we have the freedom to select what we want in opposition to work, where we have to do what is told to us and expected from us, based on our contractual
