I bet that you do not do what I do on Easter. I will tell you what I do and you can then tell me if you do the same thing. First I will go shopping, then get everything ready, and finally we (my household family) will head off. The place that I go is probably not even close to where you go, if you have even gone anywhere. I go to Glasco, Kansas. You guys are probably asking where Glasco Kansas is, because you have never heard of it. Well Glasco, Kansas is north east of Newton, Kansas. It takes about 2 hours to get there, with all of the stops that we make. If we didn’t make any stops then it would take about 1 hour and 40 minutes. This is the getting ready part. We always get everything that we can get ready on the night before. That means snacks, drinks, and blankets, we also get the portable dvd player all charged up. Half of us also take our showers the night before, because it is usually a time challenge in the morning. Us girls paint our nails, and either braid our hair or do whatever we can to get it ready. Our new outfits are laying down by the door. Now, you are probably thinking if you are going to put on your outfits, why are they by the door? Get comfy because this is going to be pretty long. So, my parents wake up really early, and so then they wake me and my sister up at about 5:30. At my old house me and my sister shared a room. When we would wake up there would be dozens of stuffed bunnies all over our room. Our parents used to tell us that the easter bunny came to get us into easter spirit. So, we would wake up, get dressed and let the animals do their business, and after we bring them inside we lock up the house and leave. We usually forget one thing so we have to go back one last time. Since, it is usually pretty early in the morning there are not many cars. We always go to mcdonalds and pick up breakfast. Sometimes one of us kids would ride with my grandparents there but not usually. After mcdonalds we hop on the road. While we are on the road, we turn on the portable dvd player. We also pack plastic eggs full of candy. After about 4 times of saying are we there yet, we are finally there. We pull into the driveway and see my grandparents car already parked there. We get out our outfits and go inside. The first thing we do is say hi. Then we go and change in rooms. Every year before 2006, my great grandma owned the house and so we would say hi to her. Well in 2006, my great grandma passed away and gave the house to her daughter. So, we still go there every year but it is not the same without her. After we are dressed we go straight to the church.
