Kiera Shockley #17 2/1/18 ELA Vocation For my profession, I would be a soccer player. I’ve played on a soccer team for three years and I have improved. Last year I was invited many times to play on the club soccer team and they wanted me on the team which motivated me to keep playing. I loved how it’s a team sport and we’re able to make friends. Next year, I will be in seventh grade and I’ll be playing on the school soccer team as well as many other sports like Track, Tennis, and Basketball. I will try to get into a soccer summer camp that year to improve my skills. My dad used to play soccer at my age and often teaches me some tips and tricks and cheers me on when playing. The
Let me introduce myself. My name is Heather Smith; I'm 18 years old and am a senior at Suttons Bay High School. I was born and raised here and have attended Suttons Bay Schools for 13 years. My hobbies include playing socer, spending time with ym friends, music, art, snowboarding, biking, working out and traveling. Six years ago I startedmy love of travel when I had the opportunity to travel on a 16-day European History trip to the countries of England, France, Italy, Switzerland and germany with family and friends. Last summer I traveled to Spain with my school's Spanish club, and in March I went to Mexico. I speak Spanish and plan on continuing my studies at Michigan State University this fall. I find that traveling is so interesting as it gives me the chance to see how others live and experience their culture.
I played soccer since I was seven, as of the last few years I played at a very high level. I have represented Ohio South two times at a regional showcase, I have been invited to participate in a camp in Manchester, England and attended the camp twice. Also last Season for the Newark High School soccer team I was named first team all league and third team all central district. Soccer was the first sport I truly loved to do, I wanted to be the best. I work hours upon hours to master whatever part of the game I wanted to improve on. Soccer has taught me to have a great work ethic, and that mentality came when I was cut from the state team the first time I tried out. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I was destroyed, and I thought I was not good but I knew I could do better. The next year I worked, I got bigger, stronger, faster, my soccer I.Q. was higher;therefore, overall I was a much better player. The result of that work, was that I made the team, but not only, I made the starting line up. After that I knew I could accomplish anything I put my mind to.

Respiratory Therapist work with all ages, anywhere from a premature baby to an old adult. “Because if they’re not breathing they’re not doing much else either!” Everyone needs the ability to breathe to stay alive. With becoming a Respiratory Therapist comes
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
Well, the career I have chosen is a Physical Trainer. I have always found these people to be really inspiring and have thought about hiring one myself or even going through the schooling and training to become one myself. They do so much for people like helping others to find happiness with themselves as well as help making the human race a little healthier.
My career I want to do it be is to be a neonatal nurse. My job would be helping babies, and when you are taking care of them to go home. I would love to be around them all the time, they are just so adorable in every way.
I’m a basketball coach and a speech teacher for high school, and the reason why I chose this career is because I find coaching interesting as well as teaching speech class. And I another reason is because I like basketball.
but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it. Sports medicine involves athletes who are constantly training to be in the best physical shape they can be in. It involves athletes with rehabilitation and supplements that they can take to help either recover faster or to help them perform better on their playing field. A lot of high caliber athletes such as olympians are involved in sports medicine, because it is able to get you back into your sport, faster and with less likelihood of re-injury.
One interest that is highly meaningful to me is working as a soccer referee. My story as a soccer official starts five years ago at the age of twelve years old. I first begin officiating primarily as a means to earn a little money to buy video games. Initially, I start as a Recreational Youth Referee officiating the youngest age group at the local soccer park. As I progress to Competitive Youth Referee, my career begins to take root, and I receive invitations to officiate tournaments throughout Georgia. Fast forward to today and my career is in full bloom. As an Amateur Youth Referee, I regularly travel to high-level tournaments in Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Moreover, over the next six months, I will complete the certification for State Referee. I know my story is not complete yet and I remain hopeful to one day achieve my goal of FIFA Referee (Federation Internationale de Football Association).
Being a competitive person can bring out the worst in you and sometimes the best. Playing soccer for me relieves most stress and also creates stress or drama on the field that go away when you step off…..most of the times. I have played soccer for as long as I can remember. But only played for a competitive team since I was ten. All my weekends were full with league games or tournaments. One Saturday morning I had a recreational game out at Paul Klover, I played PKSA just for fun in the off season from my travel soccer team. The game of soccer is a physical sport some people would disagree but the sport has more contact than most people think. I’m a physical player which I hold my ground and don’t let others get in my way or push me around
