When things are done in a way that have a negative effect on them or those around them, I feel the need to change these things. According to Ferri, drugs have affected many people and many societies at different magnitude (Ferri FF, 2010). Drugs have a negative effect on the health the person involved. In some cases, the effects are adverse and lead to loss of life. Some individuals have misled their families as a result of drug consumption. They have affected their family 's income negatively leading to poverty. As a result, it is advisable to take drug matter serious and put efforts into changing the current situation and aim at achieving a drug free nation. The young people should be educated on dangers of drug abuse so that through them, a generation free from drugs may be achieved. …show more content…

The first reason is the fact that most of the drugs abused in the society are readily available. People find no difficulty in gaining access to these drugs. Most of the society’s moral are degrading. People have become selfish and what the majority of them cares about is self-gain. People see the drug issue as a business and fail to acknowledge the harm it does to the society. So, drug business has gained success as people lose themselves to drugs. Another reason is the fact that most of the drugs are sold at an affordable price. When people are able to acquire drugs at the price they are able to purchase, they increase their consumption rate. The people dealing with drugs look for cheaper raw materials to use in the production of these drugs. As a consequence, they are able to sell these drugs to the consumers at low prices encouraging their consumption.
