No matter where you work or for how long you may work, at some point in your working career you may have stumbled upon or heard about an employee code of conduct. This article “Does This Company Have This Document”, highlighted the key points of having and complying to the Code of Conduct. Employee codes of conducts are a generally a set of general rules and or guidelines that recapitulate social norms, responsibilities, and proper practices for an individual party or organization. To make it easier to understand, they are the “do’s and don’ts” regarding the appropriate behavior an employee should follow. By having these rules set in place make the work environment better for not only the organization, but for the employees. Making decisions is an extremely important part in a day-to-day commitment. Having employers and employees work together through good communication, achieving a common purpose, and working as a whole and not individually is how a business or corporation can prosper.
