In the 21st century, does a college education still matter? In the 21st century, the debate regarding the importance and relevance of a college education has always been a well-known, important topic. When deciding the path you want to take regarding your future, whether it is straight into the workforce or pursuing a college education, there can be major setbacks you will face while applying for this job if not able to provide some type of college degree. Although a college education may seem like a waste of time, the outcome is worth it. While some may believe that college is overrated and that they can earn a job just as good without a degree, finding one that best suits that person can be more easily navigated with some type of degree.

Anyone who has a well paying job has had to work hard for the position that they are in; in order to now be able to have enough money to be comfortable and satisfied with where they stand financially. Not only can a college degree help their further career choices, it can better assist one to better find a job that is going to better meet their needs. When having a career, one must be educated in that field in order to be promoted and grow with the company. When a college student graduates, or even while still enrolled in college, they are more likely to be recognized by companies that will offer a salary that the student wants in order for them to start working for the company.
